Trauma Counselling
Safety and stability are prioritised in these sessions, and we take time to slowly and gently develop a therapeutic relationship where trust is built in authentic, empathetic and compassionate connection. Over time we work to unpack and process traumatic experience so as to heal, and we work towards the redevelopment of a personal narrative for you to embody and to recover hope. I have a broad evidence based toolkit and it may be that techniques from somatic therapy and mindfulness are of interest to you, see the next page for relevant coaching. The sessions, as with all other services, are individualised to your need. Post-traumatic growth can be a focus when you are ready for this.
Grief & Loss Counselling
Navigating loss and grief is a deeply personal and non-linear journey. Healing from loss isn’t about ‘getting over’ the loss; it is about processing, acceptance and integration in your life narrative. I provide dedicated grief support to help you process intense emotions, build resilience, and rediscover meaning after life has changed. No judgement, just professional guidance to help you through you a difficult chapter.
Eco-Grief/Anxiety Counselling
The intent here is to help you process grief and loss, anger and other negative eco-emotions including overwhelm that you may be experiencing in the face of planetary crises such as climate change, and to move through for example anxiety and depression or other mental health conditions. We can establish therapy goals specific to you but the essential aim in this service is to enable acceptance and to facilitate the recovery of your agency, to grow into positive eco-emotions. We also work to build your discernment to understand wise action. This counselling can help you stabilise and calm and strengthen your resilience and overall mental health.
Family & Domestic Violence Counselling
You deserve to live a life free from fear and control. FDV counselling provides a confidential, safe, trauma-informed and non-judgmental space to process your experience. I work with you to assess risks, create a personalized safety plan, and help you navigate the path to healing and independence including the development and activation of personal goals. Whether you are still in the relationship or rebuilding afterward, I am here to support your recovery journey towards a stable future, step by step.
Vocational Counselling & Coaching
Each session is tailored and focused to help you navigate career change, challenge and choice. Resume review and development is inclusive if required. The counselling style here is more targeted with a focus on developing career goals, identifying challenge and the tools required to meet this and building your understanding about the practical action that is required to be sustained to meet your goals. We work together to understand any blockage external or internal that to your desired path. Coaching is blended into this service particularly for those navigating change or those in a business development process. Positive and empowering encouragement is provided here, as well as space for rational reflection. Leadership counselling and coaching including in best-practice communication skills, for example how to listen and how to express empathy, can also be a focus.
